Q3 2024 Maps and Navigation Apps Performance in Chile on Unified Platform

In the third quarter of 2024, the top maps and navigation applications in Chile showed varying trends in weekly downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at each app's performance.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent presence in the Chilean market. Weekly downloads ranged from around 21K to 34K, peaking at 33.7K in mid-September. Weekly active users remained robust, fluctuating between 1.57M and 1.72M, with a noticeable increase towards the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic also saw a steady pattern in downloads, starting at approximately 22K and peaking at nearly 40K in mid-September. Active user numbers were relatively stable, generally hovering between 832K and 892K, with the highest count recorded in early September.

inDrive. Save on city rides experienced moderate download activity, with numbers ranging from 15K to 25K. The app's active users showed a slight upward trend, starting from 200K and reaching a high of 221K in mid-September.

Red Movilidad noted a gradual increase in weekly downloads, beginning at 14.5K and climbing to over 19K by the end of September. Active users showed a consistent rise from 154K to over 168K, indicating a growing user base throughout the quarter.

Finally, DiDi Rider: Affordable rides showed varied download figures, ranging from 15K to 23K. The app's active users remained strong, with numbers climbing from 1.28M to 1.46M by the end of September, showing a healthy engagement with its user base.
